Taroona a third generation family farm

Eighty years of stewardship of our land, has seen our family farm evolve from a business powered by draft horses, to one reliant on satellite technology. Only one thing has remained constant – Mother Nature rules! We do our best to work with her.

“Taroona” is now owned and run by the third generation of Muffets, Kim and Wendy

Our days would be much longer without the help of Red, Sal, and their apprentice Lizzie (See Red Dog’s Blog for a dog’s eye view of  life on “Taroona”)

We have seasonal help from our local shearing contractors, Davey Brothers - go you good things!

Our mate Woolhead helps out too – he’s really good at fencing and contract crop sowing.

Skip lived on the land all his life - he and Gran built our home. We continue to benefit from their wisdom and example

The 4th generation, Angus and Dougal cheerfully provide occasional “holiday” slave labour.

Alan is our favourite mechanic. He can fix anything and he grows
great figs!

Better not forget Shannon and Pete at Clarinda Meats in Parkes– they expertly cut your meat up just the way you want it.
